These valves are generally installed for low-temperature and low-pressure applications so that pressure is under the disk. For high-temperature and high-pressure applications, like steam, valves are installed so that pressure is above the disk. These valves can be used for small applications as valves for instruments, sampling, pressure gauges, etc. For highly toxic mediums, valves with bellow seals should be used.  Advantages of Globe Angle Valves  The Angle pattern globe valve is a modified version of the \u201cT\u201d-Pattern Globe valve with an inlet and outlet at right angles. When fitted at a change in piping direction, this valve eliminates a bend and has the advantage of a smaller pressure drop than a conventional \u201cT\u201d pattern globe valve. Angle valves have the same features of the stem, disc, and seat ring design as the globe valve. The fundamental difference between the two is that the fluid flow through the angle valve makes a 90\u00b0 turn. These valves offer less resistance to flow than a globe valve with an elbow which it would replace. An angle valve reduces the number of joints in a line, in addition to saving installation time.
