<h2>How does a Wafer Swing Check Valve work?</h2>
<p>The valve&#8217;s wafer-like profile makes it a great choice for systems requiring short takeout lengths. Wafer check valves work much in the same way as swing check valves. Like swing check valves, wafer check valves are comprised of a disc and a seating arrangement. When material flows in one direction, the flow lifts the disc from the seating arrangement. This allows the material to flow through the valve. If and when flow reverses direction through the valve, the flow of material pushes the disc back into the seating arrangement, thus closing the valve off from the flow of material.<br />
Wafer check valves are designed to be slim and unlikely to clog. This design makes them ideal for use with materials containing solid particles or debris. This type of valve can be mounted either vertically or horizontally, as long as the back pressure required to seat the check valve is sufficient. Mechanisms are available to help provide assist valves in case back pressure is insufficient.</p>

<p>The pressure seal check valves are designed in accordance with BS1868 and ASME B16.34 for service of high temperature and high pressure and are widely used in fossil fuel power plant. Compared with bolted bonnet joint valves, it provides absolute reliable sealing of the bonnet joint, so that the pressure seal check valves are more compact and rigid as well as maintenance cost-effective at high temperature and high pressure service.</p>
<p>It is an automatic check valve when it is automatically opened or closed by the force generated by the medium flowing within the pipeline. Its major function is to prevent the backflow of the medium in the pipeline, reverse rotation of the pump and its driving motor, and discharge of the medium in the container.</p>

<p>Stainless steel swing check valves are designed and manufactured strictly to International Standards API 6D, BS1868, ASME B16.34 or Equivalent, o reduce the flow resistance and pressure drop to the minimum possible extent, which is suitable to be mounted in horizontal position only, lapped and screwed in seat ring ensures tight shut off and long duration service. Valve’s disc is perfectly designed, accurately machined, and guided for efficient automatic shut-off at zero pressure, with a feature of compact structure &amp; Low emission service. In both Swing &amp; Piston Constructions.</p>



<p>ZECO is a professional manufacturer of swing check valves, stainless steel materials can be selected as ASTM A351 CF8, ASTM A351 CF8M, ASTM A351 CF3, ASTM A351 CF3M, UNS S32205 or super stainless steel materials, and so on. ZECO is very strict about the testing of raw materials. All stainless steel materials must undergo spectral testing and physical analysis when they arrive at the factory, and only when they meet the requirements of international standards can they be allowed to enter the factory and start the formal processing process. <p>We hear many people ask, “Can swing check valves be installed vertically?”</p>



<p>The simple answer to that question is yes, swing check valves can be installed in both directions. But to be very clear, installing a swing check valve on a horizontal pipeline can actually look like the valve is vertical. When you install a check valve on a vertical pipeline, the valve will be horizontal.</p>



<p>However, it’s most common to install a swing check valve on a horizontal pipeline. When people are asking if swing check valves can be installed vertically, they are usually referring to the pipeline.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to Install Swing Check Valves Vertically</h2>



<p>Installing a swing check valve on a vertical pipeline doesn’t change the installation process, but you need to make sure the flow arrow points up. This enables water flow through the pipeline to travel upwards, and prevents gravity from pulling it back and contaminating the water supply.</p>

<li><strong>Check the Edges</strong> Whether you need a swing check valve with flanges or not, you should check the edges closely. Look for uneven edges, scratches, or anything else that could prevent your valve from sealing correctly.</li>
<li><strong>Confirm Placement of Valve</strong> This is the only step that will change depending on the direction of your pipeline. Look on your valve for an arrow that indicates the direction of flow. If you are installing your swing check valve on a horizontal pipeline, place it in the appropriate direction.</li>

Flange lift check valve is only be installed in level by flow. Flange swing check valve according to flow can also be mounted vertically and level, preferably the level of the installation. <h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-what-is-a-high-temperature-valve">What is a High Temperature Valve?</h2>



<p>When choosing a valve design and material selection, the working temperature of the valve should be compatible with the valve body and trim materials. High-Temperature Valves are found in the petrochemical, chemical, fertilizer, electric power, and metallurgy industries. The material properties of non-ferrous, carbon steel, and alloy grades, are specified according to the limits of the material. Bronze, for example, cannot exceed 550F degrees, therefore not considered high temperature. High-temperature grades are:</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Sub-high temperature</h3>



<p>Sub-high temperature valves refer to the working temperature of the valve between 625f and 800f degrees.</p>



<p>WCB, WCC, A105, WC6, and WC9 are mainly used for corrosive services in this range: C5, CF8, CF3, CF8M, and CF3M is used</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">High-Temperature Level I</h3>



<p>High-Temperature Level I is the working temperature of the valve within the range of 800f and 1025f degrees.</p>



<p>Materials within this range are based on CF8 Stainless steel in the ASTM A351 family.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">High-Temperature Level II and Level III</h3>



<p>High-Temperature Level II and Level III are within the working temperatures of the valve within the range of 1025f and 1350 degrees.</p>



<p>Materials within this range are based on CF8 Stainless steel in the ASTM A351 family.</p>



<p>For Temperatures above 1350f, the working temperature of the valve is classified as high-temperature Class IV and Class V. This requires application-specific recommendations and cannot be quoted routinely as the pressure-temperature level may cause plastic deformation.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Pressure /Temperature Matrix</h3>



<p>Cast Steel or forged steel valves can be made of carbon steel or stainless steel alloys and trims are capable of handling 1000f degree temperatures at up to 10,000 psi. These valves are made with metal to metal full hard-faced seats, or various chrome-moly alloys and exotic materials like Monel 400, Hastelloy C276, Inconel 600, and Inconel 625.</p>



<p>How are valves specified for pressure-temperature?</p>



<p>ASME B16.34 Pressure Temperature Table groups materials by pressure and temperature for recommended application.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">High Temperature Groups Materials</h2>



<p>For example, Gate valves, globe valves, stop-check valves, and Check valves have recommended material combinations based upon the ASME B16.34 Pressure Temperature Table. SA 182 F11, SA 182 F22, SA 182 F316, ASTM A351 CF8M, A 351 CN7M, C-276, A217 WC6, A217 WC9, A216 WCB, A352 LCB, A352 LCC, A352 LC2, A352 LC3, A217 WC1, A217 WC4, A217 WC6, A217 WC9, A 217 C5 all carry different capabilities for pressure, temperature and corrosion resistance.</p>



<p>An additional factor determining valve limitations are packing and gasket materials, which can be made of Grafoil or Graphite for higher temperatures, Teflon for temperatures under 500F degrees, and high temperature two-ply and three-ply Monel bellows.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-features-of-high-temperature-check-valve">Features of High Temperature Check Valve</h2>

<li>The packing is thus removed from the high- or low-temperature valve body.</li>
