Os requisitos de desempenho desta norma estabelecem crit\u00e9rios de qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o para todos os tamanhos e classifica\u00e7\u00f5es de press\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta norma se aplica a v\u00e1lvulas com um ou mais membros de fechamento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O padr\u00e3o API 6FA estabelece n\u00edveis aceit\u00e1veis de vazamento atrav\u00e9s da v\u00e1lvula de teste e vazamento externo ap\u00f3s exposi\u00e7\u00e3o ao fogo por um per\u00edodo de 30 minutos. O per\u00edodo de teste de exposi\u00e7\u00e3o ao fogo foi estabelecido com base no fato de representar o tempo m\u00e1ximo necess\u00e1rio para extinguir a maioria dos inc\u00eandios. Inc\u00eandios de maior dura\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00e3o considerados de grande magnitude, com consequ\u00eancias maiores do que as previstas neste teste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O padr\u00e3o API 6FA n\u00e3o se destina a abordar a qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o de atuadores de v\u00e1lvula (incluindo caixas de engrenagens operadas manualmente). Esta norma n\u00e3o cobre v\u00e1lvulas de reten\u00e7\u00e3o, penetra\u00e7\u00e3o em limites de press\u00e3o, acess\u00f3rios externos ou conex\u00f5es finais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">O que \u00e9 v\u00e1lvula \u00e0 prova de fogo?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Prote\u00e7\u00e3o confi\u00e1vel contra inc\u00eandio \u00e9 um requisito para v\u00e1lvulas industriais em aplica\u00e7\u00f5es sens\u00edveis onde acidentes com inc\u00eandio podem ocorrer facilmente. As v\u00e1lvulas utilizadas nas ind\u00fastrias de petr\u00f3leo e g\u00e1s, refinaria, qu\u00edmica e petroqu\u00edmica devem garantir um fechamento confi\u00e1vel e seguro em caso de inc\u00eandio. O projeto \u00e0 prova de fogo \u00e9 um crit\u00e9rio importante para tais v\u00e1lvulas industriais. O termo \u00e0 prova de fogo significa a capacidade da v\u00e1lvula de minimizar a quantidade de perda de processo (vazamento) a jusante ou para a atmosfera ap\u00f3s um teste de inc\u00eandio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As v\u00e1lvulas industriais n\u00e3o s\u00e3o uma entidade com risco de inc\u00eandio. Para v\u00e1lvulas utilizadas nas ind\u00fastrias de petr\u00f3leo e g\u00e1s, o American Petroleum Institute (API) desenvolveu testes de inc\u00eandio. Ap\u00f3s anos de refinamento, API 607, ISO 10497, API 6FA, BS 6755 e BS 5146 foram aceitos como padr\u00f5es de testes de inc\u00eandio de v\u00e1lvulas. Existem alguns outros padr\u00f5es e procedimentos como API RP6F, FM 6033, Exxon BP3-14-1, OCMA FSV-1, etc. Usando esses padr\u00f5es como diretrizes, muitas organiza\u00e7\u00f5es criam seus pr\u00f3prios procedimentos internos para v\u00e1lvulas \u00e0 prova de fogo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Uma estrat\u00e9gia de combate a inc\u00eandios universalmente aceite menciona que se um inc\u00eandio n\u00e3o for extinto em meia hora, \u00e9 institu\u00edda uma pol\u00edtica de retirada e conten\u00e7\u00e3o.
