<p>Inlet pressure water enters the lower cavity of the pilot valve diaphragm from the guide valve when the pressure in the pipeline exceeds the set pressure of the guide valve to make its pressure increase to open the guide valve, the main valve control room outwards drain under the effect of the inlet pressure water to open the main valve, it starts to discharge pressure. When the pressure in the pipeline drops to the set pressure, the pressure in the lower cavity of the guide valve diaphragm decreases, causing the guide valve closed. This results in increased water pressure from the guide pipe to the pilot valve, then to the main valve control room. The main valve plate closes and begins to hold pressure.</p>

<p>The pressure relief(sustaining) valve supports horizontal and vertical installation but should pay attention to the inlet and outlet direction of valve body water when installing. In general, one fire water supply system can only install one pressure relief valve. Within the operating pressure range of the spring specified in the nameplate, the opening pressure can be adjusted by rotating the adjusting screw to change the spring compression amount. <p>When water flows through the valve, water flows into the main valve control chamber through the needle valve, and the outlet pressure is imposed on the pilot valve through the guide duct. When outlet pressure is higher than the set pressure of the pilot valve, the outlet pressure does not rise any more; when the outlet pressure of the valve reduces to the set pressure of the pilot valve, the pilot valve opens, water is discharged out of the control chamber. Because the water discharged from the pilot valve system is more than the water inflow, the pressure in main valve control chamber reduces. The inlet pressure forces the main valve open. In a stable state, the water inflow and discharged water of the control chamber are equal. The opening of the main valve keeps constant, with stable outlet pressure.</p>

<p>Generally, sudden stop of the pump will produce huge pressure fluctuations, the pressure in the sampling tube will also fluctuate at this time. The low pressure pilot valve senses this initial pressure wave to open the drain so that the main valve opens to prevent high pressure fluctuations from returning from the system. The opened main valve drains high pressure waves into the atmosphere. The high pressure pilot valve induces high pressure waves which also open and keep the main valve open. When the system pressure is lower than the preset pressure of the pilot valve, the high-pressure pilot valve is closed, the pressure of the main valve control room is increased, and the main valve is closed to maintain the system pressure in the pilot valve preset pressure.</p>
