The pneumatic ball valve can be installed vertically. Pneumatic ball valve seal generally has four seal components: stem seal ring, middle seal ring, two seal rings on both sides.

Valve stem seal ring refers to the seal ring where the valve stem operates, generally PDFE and flexible graphite are used for more than two; intermediate seal ring refers to the seal connecting the valve body in the middle, generally PDFE and graphite metal composite gasket are used for more than two; two side seal rings are: the inlet and outlet seal rings on both sides of the ball core, generally PDFE and ppl seal (high temperature resistant seal ring).

Pneumatic ball valve includes two main parts: actuator and valve. There are two kinds of actuators: single acting and double acting.

Ⅰ. Maintenance methods of the electric ball valve

• 1. Non metallic parts shall be taken out of the cleaning agent immediately after cleaning, and shall not be soaked for a long time.
• 2. After cleaning, it shall be assembled after the cleaning agent on the washed wall volatilizes (it can be wiped with silk cloth not soaked with cleaning agent), but it shall not be put aside for a long time, otherwise it will rust and be contaminated by dust.
• 3. The disassembled single parts can be cleaned by immersion. The metal parts of the disassembled non-metallic parts can be scrubbed with clean and fine silk cloth impregnated with cleaning agent (to avoid fiber falling off and adhering to the parts). During cleaning, all grease, dirt, accumulated glue, dust, etc. adhered to the wall must be removed.
• 4. New parts shall be cleaned before assembly.
• 5. During assembly, metal debris, fiber, grease (except those specified for use), dust, other impurities and foreign matters shall not be allowed to contaminate, adhere to or stay on the surface of parts or the inner cavity.
• 6. Only when the pressure around the ball valve is relieved can it be disassembled.

Ⅱ. Main features of the electric ball valve

• 1. The sealing ring is made of PTFE and other elastic materials. This structure permits good sealing performance and the valve to be easily sealed , and the sealing capacity of the ball valve increases with the increase of medium pressure.
• 2. The valve stem seal is reliable. For the valve stem only rotates without lifting, the packing seal of the valve stem is not easy to be damaged, and the sealing capacity increases with the increase of medium pressure.
• 3. With the thrust bearing reducing the friction torque of the valve stem, long-term stable and flexible operation of the electric ball valve stem will be realized.
• 4. Anti-static function: a spring is set between the ball, valve stem and valve body to export the static electricity generated in the switching process.
• 5. Low flow resistance. The ball valve has the lowest flow resistance among all valves. Even the reduced diameter ball valve has a very low flow resistance.
• 6. As PTFE and other materials have good self-lubrication and small friction loss with the ball, the service life of the ball valve is long.
• 7. The lower mounted valve stem and the convex step of the valve stem head prevent the valve stem from ejecting. If the valve stem seal is damaged by fire, a metal contact can be formed between the convex step and the valve body to ensure the valve stem seal.

Application scope of globe valve

The opening or closing stroke of the stem of the globe valve is relatively short, which has a very reliable cut-off function. The stroke between the opening and closing of American Standard globe valve disc is small, and the sealing surface can withstand multiple opening and closing. Therefore, the globe valve is fit for switching on & off frequently, which can be used in most media process systems. Globe valve is widely used in petrochemical, electric power, metallurgy, urban construction, chemical industry and other industries.

Installation direction of globe valve

The chamfered flat disc is between flat and conical in terms of its shape. If the opening height of the disc is very small and the bottom of the disc is not higher than the seating surface, the formula of conical disc can be used. If the opening height is large, and AK value is close to the data determined by the formula of plane sealing disc, at this time, the opening height of disc shall be calculated according to the distance between the bottom of disc and the seating surface.

When it is viewed from both sides of the globe valve, the downward raised part of the valve stem is “low”. On the other side, the channel connected to the valve chamber slightly higher (relative to “low”) is “high”. Globe valve: DN ≤ 200mm and PN ≤ 4. Globe valve of 0mpa adopts method of low inlet and high outlet. When DN > 200 mm, method of high in and low out should be selected. When the diameter is larger than 200 mm, due to the larger flow rate and the large pressure on the unit area, a large opposite force is needed to ensure the sealing when using the method low inlet and high outlet.

The structure of globe valve body includes straight through type, straight flow type and right angle type. Straight through is the most common structure, but its fluid resistance is the largest. Direct flow fluid has less resistance and is mostly used for fluid with solid particles or high viscosity. The right angle valve body is mostly forged, which is suitable for the globe valve with small diameter and high pressure.
