What is Ball Valve Stainless Steel?

ZECO Valve has designed this e-commerce store dedicated to supplying quality stainless ball valves at wholesale prices. Our primary focus is 2-piece and 3-piece SS ball valves, however we also supply various tri-clamp valves and can manufacture flanged ends and butt weld ends on request. Our ball valves are manufactured in high grade 316 stainless steel. However, we do offer some variations in SS 304 for better pricing. Two piece stainless steel valves are quickly becoming the most widely used threaded ball valve, replacing traditional brass ball valves due to their cost and durability.

How does Ball Valve Stainless Steel work?

A ball valve is a type of shut off valve that controls the flow of liquids or gases by its rotary ball. The valve is open when the ball’s hole is in line with the flow and closed when the ball is rotated by a quarter turn (90 degrees) by the valve handle.

Applications of Ball Valve Stainless Steel

Manual quarter turn ball valves are available in various sizes to meet a range of applications. They feature a manual hand lever and can be made from brass, stainless steel and plastic. Ball valves are popular as they are reliable and durable and still close securely over long periods making them suitable for shutoff and control applications.

Applications include:

  • Heating systems
  • Water treatment
  • Gas flow control
  • Liquid flow control
