Stainless Ball Valve

What are Stainless Ball Valve?

Stainless Ball valves have proven their worth in many applications as very reliable and compact shut-off valves. Various types such as 2-way, 3-and 4-way ball valves in conjunction with various spherical bore sizes can be combined depending on the application and use. Ball valves provide fast and precise switching due to their simple structure.

The essential element in the ball valve is a ball which has a hole in the the middle. This ball’s 90º turn move it from fully opened to closed position. The ball valves are primarily used in places where it is necessary to open and close a lot or to open and close quickly.

Stainless ball valves are durable. Stainless steel valves are especially tough because they are made of steel and because of their corrosion resistance. Steel valves can handle both high and very low temperatures. Steel valves are usually rated for a broader range of operating temperatures than brass or plastic valves.

Types of Stainless Ball Valves

1 Piece Stainless Ball Valve

Stainless Ball Valve – 1 piece – threaded Housing and ball made of 1.4408. Sealing material PTFE, for screw pin to DIN 3852 Part 2 Form A. Investment casting, hexagon, reduced bore, with lever. Parallel BSP thread to DIN/ISO 228 Application: The stainless ball valves from 1 pieces are designed to be used as shut-off valves for corrosive and non-corrosive liquids, gases, vapours and loose materials.

2 Piece Stainless Ball Valve

Stainless Ball Valve two piece body – Flanged Application: The ball valves are designed to be used as shut-off valves for corrosive and non-corrosive liquids, gases, vapours and loose materials. Medium may fl ow in both directions through the ball valves. Thanks to their simple design and reliable function, the ball valves can be used in food, chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries, in sewage and water treatment plants, etc.

3 Piece Stainless Ball Valve

Stainless Ball Valve – 3 pieces – threaded Application: The stainless ball valves from 3 pieces are designed to be used as shut-off valves for corrosive and non-corrosive liquids, gases, vapours and loose materials. Medium may flow in both directions through the ball valves. Thanks to their simple design and reliable function, the ball valves can be used in food, chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries, in sewage and water treatment plants, etc.

Are Stainless Steel Valves Better?

While brass is an excellent general-purpose metal you can use in a broad range of plumbing jobs, stainless steel has other applications that might make it the superior choice instead. For one, stainless steel valves are much better in terms of corrosion resistance

Advantages of Stainless Ball Valve

The advantages are low pressure losses, easy opening and closing, good sealing, light weight and low space occupancy. Sealing; It is made up of two stages as a sphere seal and a shaft seal.
