Where is Front Range Pipeline?

The Front Range is a 719km-long onshore pipeline project operated by Enterprise Products Partners. This NGL pipeline, with a maximum diameter of 16 inches, starts at Colorado (the US) and ends in Texas (the US).

The Front Range project started operations in 2014 and is owned by Enterprise Products Partners, Occidental Petroleum, Phillips 66, Enbridge, and others.

Front Range Pipeline provides reliable takeaway capacity for natural gas liquids (NGL) production in the growing DJ Basin to the Gulf Coast markets.

  • Business Segment: NGL Logistics
  • Location: From Weld County, Colo. to Skellytown, Texas
  • Scope: A 435-mile NGL pipeline, with connections to the Mid-America Pipeline system and the Texas Express Pipeline
  • Type of project: Organic (Dropdown of DCP Midstream’s one-third interest in Nov. 2013)
  • Capacity: Initial capacity of 150,000 barrels per day (Bbls/d); expandable to 230,000 Bbls/d
  • Ownership: Joint venture, owned one-third each by DCP Midstream Partners, Anadarko Petroleum Corp. and Enterprise Products Partners (operator)
  • Projected in-service: February 2014
