<p>The pilot type solenoid valve with secondary opening valve is mainly composed of pilot valve and main valve, and the main valve adopts rubber sealing structure. At constant position, the movable iron core closes the guide valve opening, the pressure in the valve chamber is balanced, and the main valve opening is closed. When the coil is electrified, electromagnetic force is generated to suck up the active iron core, and the medium in the main valve chamber leaks out from the guide valve mouth, resulting in pressure difference. The diaphragm or valve cup is quickly lifted, the main valve mouth opens, and the valve presents a path. When the coil is cut off, the magnetic field disappears, the movable iron core is reset, the guide valve orifice is closed, and the pressure in the guide valve and the main valve chamber is balanced, the <strong>solenoid water control valve </strong>is closed again.</p>



<p>Solenoid water control valve: There is a closed chamber in the water solenoid valve. There are through holes in different positions, each of which leads to different tubing, with valves in the middle and two electromagnets on both sides. Where the magnet coil is electrified, the valve body will be attracted to which side, and the movement of the valve body will be controlled by electromagnetic water to stop or leak out different oil discharge holes. The intake holes are usually open, and the hydraulic oil will enter different discharge pipes. Then the piston of the cylinder will be driven by the pressure of the oil, and the piston rod will drive the piston rod, and the piston rod will drive the mechanical device. In this way, the mechanical motion is controlled by controlling the current of the electromagnet.</p>

<p>The solenoid valve has an airtight cavity with through holes in different positions. Each hole is connected to a different oil pipe. In the middle of the cavity is a piston. On both sides are two electromagnets. The coil of the magnet on which the valve body is connected will be drawn to which side By controlling the movement of the valve body to open or close different drain holes, and the oil hole is always open, the hydraulic oil will enter different drain pipes, and then through the oil pressure to push the piston cylinder, the Piston, in turn, moves the Piston Rod driven mechanism. In this way, by controlling the current of the electromagnet, the movement of the machine can be controlled.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Solenoid Valve Working Principle</h2>



<p>A solenoid valve is an electrically controlled valve. The valve features a solenoid, which is an electric coil with a movable ferromagnetic core (plunger) in its center. In the rest position, the plunger closes off a small orifice. An electric current through the coil creates a magnetic field. The magnetic field exerts an upwards force on the plunger opening the orifice. This is the basic principle that is used to open and close solenoid valves.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><span style="color: #2980b9;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Direct-acting solenoid valve</span></span></h3>



<p><strong>Principle:</strong> When energized, the electromagnetic coil generates electromagnetic force to lift the closing member from the valve seat, and the valve opens; when the power is off, the electromagnetic force disappears, and the spring presses the closing member against the valve seat, and the valve closes.</p>



<p><strong>Features:</strong> It can work normally under vacuum, negative pressure, and zero pressure, but the diameter is generally not more than 25mm. The pilot-type solenoid valve adopts the method of opening the large valve by the small valve, the flow rate is large, and the large diameter is selected as the pilot type.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong><span style="color: #2980b9;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Pilot-operated solenoid valve&nbsp;</span></span></strong></h3>



<p><strong>Principle:</strong> When energized, the electromagnetic force opens the pilot hole, the pressure in the upper chamber drops rapidly, and a pressure difference between the lower part and the lower part is formed around the closing member. The fluid pressure pushes the closing member upward to move the valve to open; when the power is off, The spring force closes the pilot hole, and the inlet pressure passes through the bypass hole to form a lower low and high-pressure difference around the valve member, and the fluid pressure pushes the closing member downward to close the valve.</p>



<p><strong>Features: </strong>The direct-acting solenoid valve has a corresponding speed, and the action time is short. When the frequency is high, the direct-acting type is generally used.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-the-history-of-solenoid-valves">The History of Solenoid Valves</h2>



<p>The first solenoid valve was the solenoid control valve, sold and manufactured in 1910 by ASCO Numatics. Then, in the 1950s, manufacturers began distributing plastic molded solenoid valves. The switch to plastic meant that solenoid valves were now more efficient, reliable, corrosion resistant and chemical resistant.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-how-do-solenoid-valves-work">How do Solenoid Valves work?</h2>



<p>A solenoid valve consists of two main components: a solenoid and a valve body (G). Figure 2 shows the components. A solenoid has an electromagnetically inductive coil (A) around an iron core at the center called the plunger (E). At rest, it can be normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC). In the de-energized state, a normally open valve is open and a normally closed valve is closed. When current flows through the solenoid, the coil is energized and creates a magnetic field. This creates a magnetic attraction with the plunger, moving it and overcoming the spring (D) force. If the valve is normally closed, the plunger is lifted so that the seal (F) opens the orifice and allows the flow of the media through the valve. If the valve is normally open, the plunger moves downward so that the seal (F) blocks the orifice and stops the flow of the media through the valve. The shading ring (C) prevents vibration and humming in AC coils.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Advantages of Solenoid Valves</h2>



<p>There are many beneficial characteristics of solenoid valves that give them advantages over other valve types. For example, since solenoid valves are powered by natural pressure and electromagnetic force, they generally have fewer moving parts than other valves. This is widely considered to be a good design, since moving parts require maintenance.</p>



<p>In addition, solenoid valves can be easily operated by remote devices that activate the solenoid coil, making solenoid valves extremely useful for hazardous applications. Also, solenoid valves can use either hydraulic or pneumatic power because both can be activated or piloted by solenoids. However, pneumatic power is more commonly used because it is considered cleaner and lower maintenance than hydraulic power, due to the absence of degrading fluids which produce waste and must be maintained.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What is a Solenoid Valve?</h2>



<p>A solenoid control valve is a kind of isolation valve that is an electromechanical device allowing an electrical device to control the flow of gas or liquid. The electrical device causes a current to flow through a coil located on the solenoid valve, which in turn results in a magnetic field that causes the displacement of a metal actuator. The actuator is mechanically linked to a valve inside the solenoid valve. This mechanical valve then opens or closes and so allows a liquid or gas either to flow through, or be blocked by the solenoid valve. In this control system, a spring is used to return the actuator and valve back to their resting states when the current flow is removed. Figure 4.16 shows the application of a solenoid valve in a typical control system. A coil inside the solenoid valve generates a magnetic field once an electric current is flowing through. The generated magnetic field actuates the ball valve that can change states to open or close the device in the fluid direction indicated by the arrow.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How does a Solenoid Valve work?</h2>



<p>A solenoid valve is an electrically controlled valve. The valve features a solenoid, which is an electric coil with a movable ferromagnetic core (plunger) in its center. In the rest position, the plunger closes off a small orifice. An electric current through the coil creates a magnetic field. The magnetic field exerts an upwards force on the plunger opening the orifice. This is the basic principle that is used to open and close solenoid valves</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What is an Explosion Proof Solenoid Valve?</h2>



<p>An explosion-proof solenoid valve must have a coil or enclosure that is able to contain any explosion originating from within the coil or housing and prevent any internal spark from igniting any combustible gas, vapors or particulates in the surrounding environment that could cause a much larger explosion.</p>



<p>There are a number of standards for classifying equipment for hazardous environments. The most common we see are; NEMA (National Electrical Equipment Manufacturers Association (USA)), IEC Ex (International Electrotechnical Commission Explosive (global)) and ATEX (ATmosphères EXplosibles (EU)). If you are purchasing an explosion-proof solenoid valve be sure you see one of these marks on the valve, which may vary depending on which standard was followed.</p>



<p>NEMA has four hazardous location enclosure ratings (7-10) which correspond to specific environments (indoor/outdoor) and materials (explosive gases and particulates). NEMA follows the NEC (National Electric Code) Divisions System for Gas &amp; Dust Groups. The IEC Ex &amp; ATEX have a Zone System for Gas &amp; Dust Groups. They cover many of the same materials but are laid out differently.</p>
