What is a Flat Gate Valve?

The flat gate valve produced by ZECO Valve is a sliding valve whose closing part is a parallel gate. The closing member can be a single gate or a double gate with a distraction mechanism in between. The pressing force of the gate to the valve seat is controlled by the medium pressure acting on the floating gate or the floating valve seat. If it is a double gate plate gate valve, the expansion mechanism between the two gates can supplement this pressing force.

Types of Flat Gate Valves

The flat gate valve can be divided into manual flat gate valve, pneumatic flat gate valve, and electric flat gate valve according to the driving mode. According to the use and occasion, it can be divided into diversion hold flat gate valve, non-diversion hole flat gate valve, oil field flat gate valve, pipeline flat gate valve, gas flat gate valve, etc.

The Principle of Selection of Flat Gate Valve

For oil and natural gas pipelines, use flat gate valves with single or double gates. If you need to clean the pipeline, use a single or double gate open-rod flat gate valve with diversion holes.
For the transportation pipeline and storage equipment of refined oil, use a single gate or double gate flat gate valve without a diversion hole.
For oil and natural gas mining wellhead devices, single-gate or double-gate flat gate valves with dark rod floating valve seats and diversion holes are used, most of which are API16A standards, and the pressure levels are API2000, API3000, API5000, API10000, API15000, API20000.
For pipelines with suspended particulate media, use knife-shaped plate gate valves.
For the city gas pipeline, use a single gate or double gate soft-seal open-rod flat gate valve.
For urban tap water projects, use single or double gate open-rod flat gate valves without diversion holes.
